Bitter and satisfying, Hops are used in beer across Europe and North America. The flower cones (called strobili) are used ~ coming from long climbing bines (stiff hairs that help the plant climb and move). There are many different varieties with 45 species in Ontario alone.

Lemongrass from subtropical Asia is a culinary staple in many cultures, recognized for its long blade-like leaves and fresh lemon scent.

In your cup, this blend holds a clear-golden hue. You get a spicy bitterness from the hops with a bright and citrus note from the lemongrass. It’s a well rounded yet vibrant teacup.

Directions

Use spring or filtered water. Good water is an essential part of brewing a great cup of tea.

Relax. Some of the most enjoyable aspects of tea are the calmness and ritual that surround it. Take some time for tea! 

Quick Brew Directions: Pour freshly boiled water over tea bags in your chosen mug, cover, and let steep 3 to 5 minutes to taste. 

Full Strength (infusion) Directions: Hops flowers are delicate ~ best when exposed to high temperatures for only a short period of time. Be sure that your water is at a rolling boil when you pour it over your tea bags. Use one tea bag per cup of boiling water, cover and steep for 7-12 minutes.
