Mullein is a member of the snapdragon family and is native to Europe, Asia Minor, and North Africa. It can now be found in clearings, fields, and grassy meadows in most parts of the world. Mullein is easily recognized standing above its wild neighbours with a tall triangular shape, woolly looking pale green leaves, and plentiful yellow flowers.
In India, Mullein was used to guard against evil spirits, while indigenous North Americans adopted Mullein for ceremony, smoking, and sometimes food. We recommend using it to make a great cup of tea, herbal compress, or soothing salve.
