Description
Originating in damp meadows and along streambanks across Europe and parts of Asia, Valerian rises on tall stems topped with clusters of pale pink to white blossoms. Below ground, it forms a dense web of long, slender roots that cling tightly to the surrounding soil. Valerian now grows widely beyond its native range, adapting to similar damp soils in other regions.
Valerian Root is known for its strong, earthy aroma, often described as musky and deeply grounded. Through careful cleaning and preparation, the character in the cup is notably more refined. The infusion brews a warm amber hue with a rounded body and a gentle, floral note layered over its earthy base.
