About Red Clover...

This herb was known to the ancients as 'triphyllon' after its three leaves joined at the stem; the trinity of which was once considered evidence of the divine powers of this herb. In an old herbal publication, Red Clover was described as "God's greatest herbal blessing to mankind." Red Clover blossoms are egg shaped and pink to purple in colour. These blossoms are sweet tasting and have a light, honey-like aroma. Brew a cup today and enjoy a great tasting tea with many time-honoured benefits.

Directions

To bring out the delicate character, prepare Red Clover as an infusion ~ steeped, not simmered or boiled. 

Mason jar method (more work, stronger infusion) Per cup of tea desired, add 1½ teaspoons of Red Clover to a heat-safe mason jar, then pour in one cup of freshly boiled water and secure the lid. Let steep for at least 30 minutes, shaking briefly every 5 minutes, then strain through a coffee filter. 

In a teapot or cup Per cup of tea desired, add 1½ teaspoons of Red Clover to a tea strainer or teaball placed in your teapot or cup. Pour in one cup of freshly boiled water and cover. Let steep for 5 to 10 minutes. For larger quantities, use the same ratio.
