A favourite fruit of many, Raspberries are easily recognized by their thorny, flexible canes and delicious berries. On a hike, you'll usually find them growing in hedgerows, moist fields, and forest edges. The berries are wonderful tasting and sour - and the leaves are astringent, tasting much less intense than the fruit.
Teas of Raspberry leaf were used by women of the Cherokee, Iroquois and Mohawk nations in North America. Today, the tradition continues with Raspberry as one of the most important herbs in North America and Europe.
