Description
Resilient and persistent, Juniper is a slow-growing evergreen shrub that’s found in rocky areas of the Northern Hemisphere. It has silver-green needles and tiny yellow flowers that bloom in late spring. Once pollinated, the flowers give way to Juniper's gift, its prolific berries, which are harvested when they turn from green to silvery blue-purple.
Juniper berries have been used for thousands of years in hearty meals in northern kitchens ~ to help cure meats and season marinades ~ thanks to their sweet, aromatic and slightly spicy essence. In the cup, Juniper berries create a pale blue-green infusion with a piney and savory note.
