Description
Black, green and white tea all orginate from the same plant - Camellia sinensis. It's a species of evergreen flowering shrub whose leaves and leaf buds are used to produce tea. After harvesting, the leaves are treated with varying levels of fermentation/oxidation and roasting: black tea being the most oxidized, white the least, and green somewhere in between. Jasmine Tea is one of the most popular styles of green tea. It's produced by spreading fresh, closed jasmine blooms around drying green tea leaves - resulting in a mild tea with clean, balanced flavour and delicate, rich fragrance reminiscent of fresh jasmine flowers.
