Description
Towering and unmistakable, this giant tree can reach 100 to 180 feet tall, sometimes taller. Fossils show Eucalyptus is native to Tasmania and southern Australia where it has been part of the landscape for tens of millions of years. It’s also called Blue Gum Tree or Fever Tree and the gorgeous blue-green branches are popular in flower arrangements for their sculptural lines and refreshing scent.
Intense menthol-like aroma is the hallmark of this herb ~ the tea steeps a pale straw hue with a refreshing, resinous, and gently camphor taste. Eucalyptus has a good amount of naturally occurring eucalyptol which gathers in the steam, carrying a crisp, green-wood note and a lightly drying finish.
