Description
There are 12 species of Echinacea, and this one is native to the western prairie regions of North America. It's also known as 'Narrow Leaf Purple Coneflower'. The roots are usually harvested in the third and fourth year of growth and dried.
Echinacea's flavour is sweet with a cool sensation and after a few moments of numbing effect on the tongue; if there's no tingle, then it's not good quality. We recommend making a cup of tea using the decoction method or tincture. This herb is usually welcomed by the overworked and burdened.
