Description
Cleavers is an aggresive annual creeping plant. They attach themselves to anything in their way with small hooked hairs that grow out of the stems and leaves.
This herb has a rich history of worldwide use. Its latin name Galium is derived from the Greek word for 'milk' as its flowers were used to curdle milkk in cheese making, a tradition that is still alive in Sweeden. The First Nations peoples use it as poultice. Traditionally, it was a popular material for bedstraw amongst European due to its sticky nature.
