For nearly three decades, we’ve been blending teas rooted in one of the most beautiful places on Earth~Algonquin Park. Known for its vast forests, pristine lakes, and abundance of wild plants, Algonquin is where our story began and where our guiding principles remain grounded: respect for nature, mindful living, and the simple joy of sharing tea.

Founded in 1996 as the Algonquin Tea Company, we grew from humble beginnings, hand-harvesting herbs like sweet gale by canoe and creating our first healing blends. Over the years, the company has evolved, and in 2025 we embraced a new name~Local Canadian Tea~to better reflect our expanded offerings. Today, we craft both herbal teas and carefully paired caffeinated blends while staying true to our roots in wild, consciously harvested plants.

Every step of our work is guided by gratitude: thanking the sun and soil, singing to the plants, and harvesting with respect for the land’s rhythms. Our teas are more than beverages~they are invitations to pause, to be present, and to reconnect with the intelligence of nature.
